One property down, one to go for Vice President Kamala Harris. She has sold her SoMa loft in San Francisco for $860,000 and now seeks a buyer for her condo in Washington, DC. Last month, Harris moved into the vice president’s customary residence on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington.
Located on the top floor of the building, the 1,069-square-foot San Francisco property has one bedroom and one-and-a-half bathrooms. It also features a patio, fireplace and an alcove office, among other amenities.
Harris purchased the property for $489,000 in 2004 — the same year she became the first person of color to be elected as district attorney of San Francisco.
Harris also is seeking $1.995 million for her former DC home, reports Realtor.com.
The 1,731-square-foot condo has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also features custom cabinetry, natural oak hardwood floors and a walk-in pantry. The development offers 24/7 concierge service, a dog-washing station and a rooftop pool.
Harris still owns a four-bedroom, five-bathroom home with husband Doug Emhoff in the Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles. That property remains off the market.
