An equipment problem on a train Friday morning caused a major delay on BART trains traveling the San Francisco-Antioch line to the San Francisco Airport and the East Bay, the agency said.
The issued happened on a train in the 24th Street Mission Station in San Francisco.
By 9 a.m., the problem was resolved and the system was recovering, but the agency said there were still major delays on trains bound for SFO, Millbrae, Daly City and Antioch.
The delay started around 7:45 a.m.
The Dublin-Pleasanton/Daly City line; the Berryesa/North San Jose-Richmond lines; and the Berryesa/North San Jose-Daly City line were not impacted.
No other information was available immediately.
